Sometimes words don't have the intended meaning.

How do we interpret things people say while grieving?

To grievers, a lot of things that people say to be comforting may not be comforting at all:

"I'm sorry for your loss"
"Your loved one is in a better place"

But as grievers, is there anything that we say, that can seem insensitive?
